Add a touch of colour to your everyday life and travel with us across the world. Given the current situation, we have decided to add a new range of products to our shop. We highly believe in protection’s importance. Therefore, we want to present you with our hygienic cloth masks. We use a double layer, an organic cotton interior to make it pleasant and fresh in contact with the skin, and a colourful exterior using our range of exotic fabrics. We will now discuss more specific issues regarding the masks: how to clean them, how to put them on, how to care for them, and other questions that may arise.
Fabric masks

What are our face masks made?
Our masks are made of two layers of 100% cotton fabric and therefore are washable and reusable. The inner layer is organic cotton. We use cotton because this fabric is very resistant and breathable. They have elastic bands for the ears that are adjustable, which makes them more comfortable. They have an inner pocket to be able to put a filter (filters not included). The recommended filters are those made of TNT (non-woven fabrics), disposable after each use (following the WHO recommendations, it is always advisable to use a filter)
We have two sizes of mask:
Adult size: 18.5cm x 7.5cm (without rubber bands)
Child size: 15,5cm x 6,5cm (without rubbers)
Why do we use 100% cotton and organic fabrics?
The 100% cotton fabric is very resistant and breathable, which is a guarantee of durability. It can withstand very high washing temperatures, which is essential for the sterilization of the masks.
On the other hand, we want to pamper your skin. For this reason, we use organic cotton fabric on the inside of the mask as this is softer in contact with the skin of both children and people with sensitive skin and reduces the possibility of allergic reactions.

Washing recommendations
We strongly suggest following the washing recommendations to ensure that the masks are always clean and ready to use.
- Wash it after each use.
- Remove filter before each wash.
- Can be washed in the washing machine or by hand.
- Wash temperature 60ºC.
- Use soap.
- Do not use bleach.
- You can iron with steam.
Recommendations for use
Important: The mask must be washed and disinfected before its first use.
How to put on and take off the mask
The Ayramile label must be on the right side of the face. The filter pocket is hidden under the fold at the top of the mask, at the nose level.
When putting the mask on, we recommend that you wash your hands thoroughly before. We will place the filter inside it and position it on the face at nose level (pocket upwards). We will pass the rubber bands behind the ears, adjusting them to the size which suits us best. We are ready!
To remove the mask, wash your hands and avoid touching the front. It should be removed from behind and held in place by the elastic bands. We will remove the filter and discard it (if we have put one in). Finally, we will keep it in a well-sealed plastic bag for later washing or sterilization. We recommend that you wash your hands once more.

Origin of our fabrics.
All our fabrics have a story to tell. Their origins, weaving methods, or the meaning of their patterns. When manufacturing the masks, we use three different types of fabrics: Japanese fabrics, Australian fabrics, and African fabrics, all of which come from different cultures and countries. We work from our workshop in San Sebastian, and we would like to add that the whole process from start to finish is handcrafted. Our series is limited because we have a limited quantity of fabrics. Every one of our masks is different. No two will ever be the same due to the characteristics of the prints and the cuts. For this same reason, we would like to clarify that the pictures on the website are for guidance only, and there may be some differences with the mask you receive. From Ayramile, we want to guarantee high quality and unique finishes for each client.
For reasons of hygiene and health, returning masks will not be allowed.
The WHO recommends using masks but warns that their use does not guarantee that you will not contract infections, but that you should maintain other preventive measures: wash your hands frequently, avoid touching your nose, eyes, and mouth, and keep the 2 metres security distance. Masks can prevent pathogens in our throat, nose, and mouth from being expelled (just as we cover ourselves when we sneeze with a handkerchief or elbow).
Important Note:
We remind you that these materials are not a Medical Device (MSD) in the sense of Directive 93/42 or Regulation EU2017/745, nor are they Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by Regulation EU/2016/425. The use and purpose of these products are hygienic.
